7 Steps to Configure Guest Access on the Belkin router

Guest Access is the feature on the Belkin router that lets your visitors connect to the wireless network without being located your printer, shared files and other devices in the network. If you want to set up this feature, you must have a PC, an Ethernet cable and the router along with the Guest Access. To configure the Guest Access on your router to the Internet-based setup page, either speak with the technicians at the Belkin customer support number or continue with the steps listed below.  Here’s how to do:
 

Step 1: Attach the Ethernet cable from one of the router’s LAN ports to the PC. The back of your router may be different than others, depending on the brand and model.
Step 2: Launch the web browser program and type the router’s IP address in the search bar. Press or click the ‘Enter’ button. The default router’s IP address is 192.168.2.1.
Step 3: After reaching the configuration menu page, click the Login button in the upper right corner.
Step 4: Input your router password. If you haven’t yet configured the password for your router earlier, leave the field blank and click the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 5:  Click on the Guest Access link placed on the left window. If it’s not found in the left corner, click the ‘Security’ option.
Step 6: Choose the following:
         Guest Access feature – Select the ‘Enabled’ to activate it.
         Security Type – Choose Cafe-style, WEP, WPA/WPA2 PSK, or Open to configure the security type.  It’s recommended to use the WPA/WPA2 PSK to make it secure.
      Network Name (SSID) – Input the Guest Access network name your guests will be accessing it.
         Password – Input the ‘Guest Access’ network password. If you have chosen the Open is security type, then this field will be hidden. 

Note: - Configuration may be different between the various Belkin router models.
Step 7: Click the ‘Apply Changes’ button once you set up the preferences. It will direct the device near 6-90 seconds to save the settings, relying on the device model.

After some time, your changes will be stored, and your guest access feature is now configured on your Belkin router.
